The Magic of Music

The Magic of Music
Music has the power to heal, inspire, and unite. When I feel sad, listening to Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata soothes me; when I’m happy, pop songs make me dance. Playing the piano has been my escape—pressing keys and creating melody helps me express emotions. Last year, I joined a school choir, and singing in harmony with 50 others gave me chills. Music crosses cultures: a Spanish flamenco rhythm and a Japanese taiko drum both stir the soul. In a hospital, I saw a patient with dementia light up when hearing her favorite old song. Whether it’s a concert or a lullaby, music connects us to something bigger. It’s a universal language that needs no words.
